Newport & Providence - Heads up, High-Techies...

Networking Pick of the Week - We Picked Two!

This week we have two recommendations for you - as one is highly specialized, but really caught our eye.

Newport County Chamber of Commerce, Business During Hours, Thursday, August 15th, noon to 1:30pm, Newport

Join the monthly networking lunch at the Chamber’s new home - Innovate Newport. They are at 513 Broadway in Newport. If you are coming over the bridge, stay to your left and head toward where Newport Grand soon won’t be.  You’ll go up and around and never hit all that traffic that can make doing business in summer in Newport foreboding.

Registration is required. Members are free; non-members are $10.  Go here to register:

PS - If   there’s time - ask for Tuni Schartner, of Innovate Newport, and maybe you can get a quick tour of this new amazing workspace.

The #TechFire High Tech Job Fair and Technology Showcase, Saturday, August 17th, 6pm, Providence

Meet at Steeple Street for this VIP Reception just prior to a full WaterFire lighting.

There will be over 20 companies and nonprofit partners at this special event, sponsored by Virgin Pulse. The #TechFire VIP reception will be a world-class networking opportunity where industry and higher-education thought leaders will meet to discuss the future of Rhode Island’s high-tech ecosystem.

This 2nd annual event will include prominent guest speakers from across the technology industry, a job fair featuring both established tech companies and startups that are actively hiring in Rhode Island, and a chance to network with executives, entrepreneurs, community leaders, local university officials, and other influencers who are driving the future of our state’s technology ecosystem.”
