It’s the Rhode Island BluesFest

Kicking off with a concert on Friday (8/9) night by Neal Vitullo & The Vipers, the Second Annual Rhode Island Blues Festival is set for this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, the 10th and 11th of August at Mulligan’s Island Golf & Entertainment Center, in Cranston. Events are free and geared to good family fun.

The Vipers are Dave Howard, Steve Bigelow, Paul Tomasello, Jack Howarth, and Mike LaBelle make up the band. Professional all the way, the chemistry between them makes the performance one to remember as they play hits from their many original songs as well as covering classic songs from many generations and genres. Neal & The Vipers play American Roots Music encompassing blues, rock & roll, rockabilly, and surf, that will get everyone up from their chairs to dance.

Friday will be alive with music, a craft beer, and food from food trucks, complete with friends and neighbors. Everything gets started at 6pm. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas to enjoy the show. Some chairs and tables will be provided. If you would like to bring a picnic that is ok, but no outside alcohol. And no pets.
