Where in the world is Dr. Frankel? - Part 3
Next stop on our tour of Salalah was Taqah castle.
Tagah Castle, is the most popular castle to visit in the region of Dhofar in the South of Oman. Taqah Castle is located in Taqah, an old city in Salalah. Taqah Castle was built in the 19th century, a remarkable structure, going back in time.
Taqah Castle was once the residence of a tribal leader, Sheikh Ali bin Taman Al Ma'shani, built in the 19th century. In the buildings were rooms displaying old weapons, pottery and numerous other exhibits, as you can see from the pictures shown. We decided to do a display of our own, as we displayed the American flag as we did our tour of the Castle.
Fruit Stand at Montana street.
Our last stop this morning was a fruit stall (#26) at Montaza Street where we tried the coconut water. The coconut was not ripe, but the water was cold and wet. This is a typical fruit stand in Salalah, Oman. As you can see, there is no shortage of fruit!
