Proclamation Ceremony

From the Gaspee Day Committee: “Join us as we stand before our neighbors and friends in the community to announce the commencement of another year celebrating Gaspee Days! Our proclamation may only be a few words in a few moments but what we have to say will last a lifetime. Don't let this brief introduction to the Gaspee Days season fool you - there's so much more fun to come! Immediately following the event, folks come from all over to experience the Historic Walking Tour of Pawtuxet Village, led by children from our local schools and run by their school PTAs”.

This weekend starts the celebration of Gaspee Days - from proclamations to the parade, arts & crafts festival, block party, symphony in the park, fireworks, blessing of the feet, 5K foot race, ecumenical service, colonial encampment, and of course - the burning of the Gaspee - check out all the events, here, and get ready to meet your neighbors…
