“When We Fight, We Win”

The NAACP 106th Freedom Fund Awards

By James Vincent, President, NAACP Providence Branch

The NAACP Providence Branch presents “When We Fight, We Win”, the 106th Freedom Fund Awards Gala on Friday, November 1, 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel, 1 Orms Street in Providence, Rhode Island. We are pleased to welcome former Massachusetts Governor and Managing Director of Bain Capital Double Impact, Deval L. Patrick   as our keynote speaker.

For more than a century the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - Providence Branch has worked to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Recognizing the importance of youth involvement, the NAACP Providence branch is establishing chapters at Brown University, Providence College and ECubed Academy.

We are especially proud of the establishment of the Social Justice in Law Scholarship named for Judges Walter Stone and William C. Clifton. In 2018, the NAACP Providence Branch awarded our first two scholarships to Roger Williams University School of Law students at the annual Gala.

We want to invite Bank Rhode Island to be a sponsor of the 106th Freedom Fund Awards Gala where we will recognize community organizations and individuals for their work in the community on social justice issues.

Please find included the 106th  Freedom Fund Awards Gala sponsorship packet.  We welcome the support of BankRI. Please know we value your support and look forward to you joining us at our Awards Gala in November.
